I am currently an Assistant Prof. in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a visiting scholar in School of Geographical Sciences, University of Bristol, UK. My research focus on trying to understand the effects of environmental change on the vegetation dynamics in the Paleogene and Neogene of China. I try to integrate a number of approaches and methodologies, including palynology, charcoal and climate modelings to reconstruct the palaeovegetation, palaeoclimate and palaeofire in southwestern China.
